There are lot’s of attractions near by, most popular is Hengifoss. Then we have Hallormsstadur forest, the biggest one in Iceland. The Wilderness Center, Skriduklaustur, Snæfellsstofa (Snaefellstofa) Visitor Centre and the Waterfall circle are not far away. Hikes to Strútsfoss, Stórurð, Fardagafoss and Stapavík are really nice. We can say that we are in the middle, between the highland and the ocen, Borgarfjörður Eystri is the best place to see the puffins from middle of April to middle of August. Seyðisfjörður and Mjóifjörður are beautiful places at the ocean.
Nearby are local food products that’s worth tasting. Klausturkaffi is providing Icelandic food on buffet, lunch buffet and cake buffet. The Food Truck, located at waterfall Hengifoss, offers ice cream made out of sheep milk that is really worth the taste and more. The organic café & restaurant in Vallanes provides vegan food from their own cultivation.
